I returned to the store and spoke to everyone up the food chain and they all refused to exchange it. I repeatedly told them that they gave me bad advice and it's their fault, they said,"No, all sales final". I went outside, called the local PD who arrived and threatened to arrest the manager and the sales associate for "Larceny by False Pretenses" if they did not complete the exchange or refund me. I got the correct hard drive.

2) I Purchased an external 500GB drive from CC today. Drove to Best Buy and realized that the 40% off that they had their HDDs selling at was 40% off their inflated price, and only about 5% less than Best Buy.

Moral of the story: screw CC and screw liquidators.
lol how can you not tell that CC prices still suck........ they deserve to go out of business

People keep saying its circuit city's fault that they won't exchange anything. EVERYTHING is owned by the liquidators now. Circuit City doesn't even exist. Don't buy anything there. Everything has been jacked up to MSRP, and then a certain percentage reduced.

The sad truth is when Circuit City was in business, the prices were much better, and now that they are gone, people are stampeding to get that $24 50 pack DVD-R disks that was regularly $10 when Circuit City was in business.

Circuit City will close on March 8th.

I went into a CC once last year. It looked like a thrift mart picked bare. I turned and walked out. I couldnt imagine back then why they were still in business or why anyone would shop in such a crappy looking store. Mind you, this store was in one of our area's upscale malls and still looked like shiet.

Use your American Express card, they automatically give you all your money back if you file an appeal.

I use to years ago and still had friends who worked at my local store before it closed and jersey is correct, you're dealing with a liquidation company. They have representatives at all the stores who make all the rules and determine the prices.

I like how everyone talks crap about CC and how they deserve to go out of business. Funny, CC always had better prices than BB (on most stuff at least).

Either way, BB can now do whatever they want with their prices because they have no more competition. Here's an example:

Sony bluetooth iPod adapter, bought 1 year ago MSRP was 59$ at best buy.
Here's the link for the price now:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1190677869598

Here's what this should be selling for:

http://www.jr.com/sony/pe/SON_DRBT22IKB/

Long story short, BB selling bluetooth adapter for 79$, other people sell it for 69$ INCLUDING BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES. Stop talking about BB like it's THE PLACE to get a good deal. It's the worst deal around.

I've been in and out of CC since the "sale" started...what a joke. I bought nothing. Most stuff was gone at the beginning when they had 10% off inflated MSRP...No idea what these people were thinking buying stuff they could get cheaper anywhere else

Circuit City will close on March 8th
.

If they don't exist, how can they close

Fixed below:

Liquidators for the former Circuit City stores will close March 8th.

It depends on what you are talking about. I got a product from best buy that was $700 cheaper than a competitor's price (Sears). Friend of mine missed the sale at Best Buy when it went back to regular price. Sears lowerd their price $700 and my friend bought the item at BB with a $700 price match and took advantage of the 3yrs no finance and the geek squad services they offer which are fanfukcing tastic. No, BB won't match online, just brick-n-motar in the same market--but thats expected. Yes, BB does need to have reasonable prices as more people will just buy online forcing them to adjust their prices. If trends don't necessitate that, well prices will not lower as dictated by the regional market.

you should have done your homework before you purchased and price-matched. If you are comparing bb to online, that is not a fair comparison.
