Are you serious? There's 3 vs 1. 1 on 1 i can understand that it would be hard to put cuffs on someone that was resisting. You would think that those officers would of been provided proper training on detaining a resisting individual. But as you can see in the video of the half A$$ed attempt to detain the guy before getting trigger happy with the taser.that those officers were not properly trained on detaining a resisting individual. with the 3 of them and they had to resort to the trusty taser. that's just sad in my book.

I can see why the guy got up though, after the lump of an officer knelt of him with some force! Could have broken some ribs there the dolt.

That doesn't answer my question. I also have a second one: What training and experience do YOU have regarding defensive tactics and it's roll in modern policing?

Just curious what your credentials are, as you're speaking like an experienced expert...

Lets see taser him and make him comply by pain compliance or force his arm behind his back and possibly cause permanent shoulder or elbow damage. First case the guy gets a resisting charge, second case the guy gets a resisting charge and a large settlement becasue of the permanent injury.

Which is better?

The police seem to use to much force with people that comply so why not?

They don't tell you how to flip burgers so don't tell them how to arrest someone.

Cops just love their weapons let them use them. Nothing can go wrong like some one getting shot while face down.

Another McDonald's employee commenting. Just remember to say "Do you want to supersize" when taking orders.

so your way of combating a statement you don't like is to say that i flip burgers? Are you 15?

nothing wrong with people that say things like "that clicking sound is awesome" or "i like the way they fall when you tase them".

I don't feel that men that like to hurt people should be cops but that's just me.

I have been a cop just short of 10 years, 2 years in a jail, and about to hit 8 years on patrol. I have never shot anyone, never hit anyone with my baton, never tasered anyone and pepper sprayed less than a dozen people. I have been in plenty of fights, but usually try to get people to comply with my stellar verbal skills. What I saw is a naked guy (most likely under the influence < http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/wa...ction=retrieve > ) in a crowd of people ( http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/wa...ction=retrieve ). 3 officers attempting to get the guy to comply with verbal communication. He resisted ( http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/wa...ction=retrieve ) so they went hands on. They had a hard time getting his hands cuffed so they began using a taser to gain compliance. If you did not notice the crowd started circling the cops and some were yelling at the cops. They had to gain compliance as quick as possible to avoid making the situation worse. I did not see anything wrong done by the police, they escalated force to the appropriate level. If you can tell me what and where the cops went wrong let me know and I will let you know why you are wrong.

I think for the most part the cops were definitely trying to give the guy a chance to fix the situation, and he did not. I have seen first hand cops being RIDICULOUSLY lenient with people breaking laws at music festivals... Oh, you're obviously REALLY fvcked up on drugs and making a total scene? We're just gonna talk to you, and if you stop whatever behavior you were doing we'll let you go about your way. That kinda sh!t I don't think happens as much out on the street!

There were a couple times it seemed like he was tased unnecessarily... BUT I have a hard time hearing what is being said, so I wouldn't try to say that it was unjust. If they're telling him something repeatedly and he's just NOT doing it, I can see them trying to use the taser.
