need help identifying a spider

stepped over this guy last night on some carpet not realizing it but the carpet cushioned the blow. i guess it just jarred him but he kept trying to run under the bed although he is not very aggressive. anyone know if this is just a common house spider? the back has some light triangles.

i thought the wolf spider would have more brown and run faster. i've got wolf spiders in my yard and seen some much bigger ones but not as dark as these.

you should never kill spiders in your house, because they keep all the bugs out
