EDIT: Just to add .. it IS possible for a woman to have male friends that she's not sexually interested in. But note that I said 'friends'. Start using phrases like 'best friend' and 'ex-boyfriend' and you're in a whole different realm -- that's where trouble starts.

But I agree, have a firm talk with her. Don't be a wuss, but don't be cold blooded. She's either testing you and wants to know if you care enough to handle issues properly or just bored, and you won't find out which until you talk to her.

I wouldn't think it's a trust issue since you do have a reason to worry, but if you don't trust her at all, it's not going to work no matter what. Just be prepared to drop it and walk away without ever looking back, if you have to...

So this morning at Dennys my girlfriend's phone starts vibrating and I grab it quickly. I begin to flip open the phone and my girl is hollering while leaning over the table trying to take it from me. I ask my girlfriend whats the problem with me looking through it if theres nothing to hide, she says "its none of your business". I proceed to hit the MESSAGES button and see about 20+ texts from somebody saved on her contacts list as "LIAR". I read some and yup, its the ex-boyfriend sweet talking her with some BS. I tell my girl on the spot "now you have 2 ex boyfriends" and walked out the restaurant leaving her behind with no ride to get back home 35 miles away.

It may have made you feel better for the short term, but that was the easy way out. One day you'll care enough for someone to sit down and talk things through without emotion. Trying to hear what the other person has to say while you're hurting is a very hard thing to do.

There was a reason she talked to the ex. If she was completely engaged with you, she wouldn't have let it go to the depths that it did. You need to examine what went wrong with you two so you don't fall into the same trap with the next girl.

That was a tough day. I'm sorry you had to go through it.

Although, I agree to a certain extent with what Grace just said, I say good for you. She can call her first ex and have him pick her up. Don't waste another minute of your time on this girl. Move on.
