Girlfriend talks to Ex?

So I recently found out that my girlfriend is talking to her ex. I read her texts and it seems like innocent talk, just stuff like "how are you doing" and "hows work". She said it completely means nothing and she'll stop texting him back.

Am I crazy for tripping or is it a valid reason to be pissed?

One thing leads to another...at one point she had feelings for him, so you just never know...

My ex did that too. She sent him bday gifts and all that crap. The guy was a psycho and she probably still had feelings from him. I told her to cut off all contact.

She did, then I broke up with her.

as a guy i wouldn't prefer my gf to talk to the ex but don't approach it the wrong way. Don't say you won't allow her then it'll be counter productive. Just tell her you don't like it and if she keeps a crap about ur arse then she'll stop on her own.

yeah, bad news, she probably still has feelings for him. i dated my x for 3 years, she had a best "guy friend" and 2 and half years into it after she had convinced me she was able to have close guy friends, she proved me right and cheated on me with him, ever since then im pretty resistant to any close guy friend or ex boyfriends as friends. they're just waiting in the shadows to make that move. Yeah what the above poster said is good, just tell her your feelings, that it bothers you etc, if shes into the relationship she'll do whats right, if not you have your answer and run.

I mean yeah theres this way to look at it, if she was doing something wrong she wouldnt be doing it if she cared about the relationship, guess you need to decide if she sees something in it and she knws shes up to no good or if shes tryin to just be friends, but yeah idk i believe in honesty but i guess if you play the i dont care roll it might make her want u?

ya, bumping into him and saying hi is normal and human. Making an effort to talk to him and get ahold of him....out of line.

You know every girl on the planet would freak if you talk to your ex so why is it different? What is she missing from life that she HAS to talk to her ex? If it's just "chit chat" or whatever then tell her to do that with someone else. If they aren't talking about something important that requires her to talk directly to him only then she doesn't need to talk to him. There are way too many people in the world for her to have to be friends with her ex.
