The Motorola Droid comes out on Oct 28th I think, with Android 2.0

Phone has basically the same processor as the Iphone 3GS, so it will be the fastest Android phone ever.

Huge 3.7" 854×480 screen

Keyboard, and yet it's only slightly thicker than Iphone. They're saying it's the thinnest keyboard phone yet.

Basically this will be the best Android phone for a while. I left Verizon for Tmobile last year to get the G1 >_<

Vodafone, a partner company of Verizon already sells the iPhone overseas, so Verizon and Apple working together doesn't seem that unlikely. Not sure how far they've gotten with the plans, but Verizon is currently making a move from CDMA to LTE, as CDMA has been pretty much an obsolete technology for a while already. If anything, the two won't be working together until the switch to LTE is done. I doubt Apple will end their contract with AT&T without renewing, but I'm willing to bet the new contract won't be exclusive.

What happened to the Verizon rep on this question? I don't even work for Verizon or AT&T anymore...

ma bad i was busy with a customer but ima back and yes if vodafone gets it we do to since they carry GSM versions of our CDMAs

ive seen the rice trick work but its not a sure thing

verizon doesnt fix phones and if the stickers went to red then your SOL unless you use insurance if they werent red and it quit working then its covered under 1 year warranty unless they can prove it got wet you know what i mean

Ok so last Christmas I added my mother on the familiy share plan. My father had been on with me for over a year. They were doing a special where if you get the LG envy 2, you'll get the second one for free. I figured hey, 2 phones for the price of 1. That's 2 christmas gifts. I specifically asked the sales rep if this will affect my father's number getting an upgrade and he said it should'nt since I'm adding a line and the 2 for 1 deal is with that new line.

let's fast forward to yestermonth. I wanted a new phone and decided to upgrade my father's number. Guy said I couldn't becuase my father's number was upgraded last Christmas. What gives?

Also how is VZW going to cripple the Droid line? They going to make bluetooth not work for anything but for a headset...ect

Only primarys can upgrade every year, any secondary line has to wait 20 months also NE2 credits work on the 20th month you no longer have to wait 24 just 20

and any BOGO deals usally require adding a new line

It's a "Google experience" branded phone, meaning Verizon won't do **** to it. No features are crippled.

iphone was declined because apple wanted to much control over the device that was one of the reasons

its more of a pain in the arse to have to deal with apple for every issue the phone has and verizon didnt want to deal with having to redirect its customers


dont get me wrong the iphone is the **** but verizon has standards that apple could not agree on

nvm its 5.0 woot. I tried it out before but crashed like nuts. (an older 5.0 OS) the phone is going to be a crap ton better now.

as far as i know its offical and i cant wait i tried the leaked 5.0.230 and it was sweet but had bugs and they say 5.0.328 fixed the bugs so i hope its true cus i cant upgrade to strom2 anytime soon lol

i have heard that there is a certain tax that verizon charges that makes the contract void. meaning........it's a loop hole to end your contract early if you complain about that particular charge.

Do you know anything about this? PM if necessary.
