AT&T wont be able to renew the contract because apple can make a lot more sales allowing others to get it.

What are your sources?

Vodafone, a partner company of Verizon already sells the iPhone overseas, so Verizon and Apple working together doesn't seem that unlikely. Not sure how far they've gotten with the plans, but Verizon is currently making a move from CDMA to LTE, as CDMA has been pretty much an obsolete technology for a while already. If anything, the two won't be working together until the switch to LTE is done. I doubt Apple will end their contract with AT&T without renewing, but I'm willing to bet the new contract won't be exclusive.

But keep in mind that by the time Verizon finishes converting their systems to 3g, AT&T will have at least already began upgrading their networks to 4g.

And yes, I know about the Android phone vs iPhone issue too...

Either way, Verizon won't be getting the iPhone anytime soon. Whether it'll hit Verizon stores at all is really still up in the air. I doubt anything will get set in stone until Verizon finishes their conversion to LTE.

What happened to the Verizon rep on this question? I don't even work for Verizon or AT&T anymore...

Anybody want to tell us about the price hikes Verizon is planning for next year?

I know my info and im not saying anything that is confidential. Nothing is 100% for the iphone going to verizon the only thing for certain is that AT&Ts contract ends with Apple in 2010 and that means more carriers are being will carry it. Verizon being the nations largest is 99% sure to have it. After all its more money for Steve.

so my lg dare stopped working, the welcome screen comes on but then it fades to white .i suspect water got in it after the rain storm we are having...i checked the water stickers and they are all red/purple...i put googled wet phone and did some of the suggested actions (put the phone and battery in rice for 2days) but its still the same......my question is am i screwed , or will verizon atleast attempt to fix it for a fee? ive had the phone about 14months will they give me a deal on a new phone if i extend my contract? i too am waiting for the iphone
