Oh hell yeah, I had a '78 Chevy shortbox stepside, chopped 4.5" and a 427 ready to go in her. All I was missing was...the money to finish it!

Go for it... I had a 1972 Chevy Blazer and it was a fun and easy project. it has big block 454 ..... it cost me too much money to build it because of the shipping (I wasn't in the US) but since you are in the US, you have no problem.

If you get it LMK. I have an LT1 that's been sitting. I'm sure it needs to be rebuilt, but it would be a nice swap. Stroke it to a 383 and add LT4 top end and you're looking at around 500HP N/A.

^that sounds great... but I don't know what I am going to do yet. I am thinking about trying to get it, then part it out or sell it as a whole and try to turn a lil profit.
