Anyone Mess Around with OLD Chevy Trucks???

The bank my wife works at has a 1972 Chevy C10 repo. Its said that the body is good, but it was partially stripped for Restoration. No glass, no engine, no tranny.... but I may be able to pick it up for about $100-200.

Basically I am thinking of trying to go for it, and probably just part it out.

Buy it. Burn it. Bury it.

Actually it would be pretty cool to restore with a big block.

Looks to be in good condition. How much rust? I would't part it out btw, you would be better off just flipping it. I was told...Now this is just hear say, you can get at least 2k for that scrap of metal. Maybe more... Just look around

How does one actually have a 1971 chevy truck repo'd? I'd imagine that's almost fiscally impossible.

I was going to fix it up, get a chain link steering wheel, foot print accelerator pedal, wire wheels, and metal flate paint job and use it to haul illegal immigrants over the border...

Hate to break your heart..but they only ride in those type of cars once they are IN the country..other-wise they use old beat up vans.

Customer Filed bankruptcy, and they have taken about 20 vehicles from them so far... Some nice, most junk. I don't know/can't know all the details, but the bank is taking a huge loss. The person was actually building some houses, and one was financed through 2 banks. He was in tight with one of the main loan guys so he got whatever he needed pushed through... The main loan guy is now a teller at another local bank. 20+ years of loan experience and he is now just over minimum wage. He is about to hit rock bottom also.

Sweet... then it will be even easier... I will just duct tape some plastic in where the windshield should be... stuff a few of them in the dash to fill the holes... and a few under the hood for power.. a couple around the rear axle for brakes... and I am GOLDEN.... . $1k for your golden ticket into the USA...
