'07 M35x Loaner

Hello fellow M owners....I come from the G side of things on the forum & my car is getting serviced at the dealership. I lucked out & they gave me an '07 M35x with 24K miles on it. Now if they would only give me an FX next time!

Is it a common problem with this car where the VDC light, slip light and brake light all come on & stay on?! I left work yesterday & accelerated at WOT for the first time in this car & all 3 lights came on. They went off this AM after resting overnight, but then they all come on again. Thought it was very weird....

Some quick impressions of the car:

- very solid
- excellent interior finish
- very roomy
- engine a bit too small for this size car IMO, I've gotten spoiled w/ my G (I'm not bashing the car, I used to drive a 115 HP VW Jetta)

Thanks

Means that the M you were driving needs new brakes or needs to be checked in the brake area.

Lights like that come on only when there is a problem. When my alignment was off the VDC off light wouldn't go off and it was because of the alignment.

I'm still trying to get over the fact they gave you an M loaner! I wish my dealer did that.

No kidding...no complaints here. Though when I returned the car last night, I was at the light in front of the dealership & there was another M35X loaner in front of me. The dealership I go to has stenciling letters on the rear window & side doors.

Funny, I took my G35S in for the clutch recall and they gave me an M35 loaner as well. There was a lady getting her M serviced and they gave her a G35X. You are right, it is marketing. The lady was asking me jokingly if I wanted to trade. Just kind of funny. Oh, and the M feels too big IMO. I Kinda felt like an old Lawyer
