Another blacked out OEM grille - DIY

Just finished this up earlier today. I basically did it to go with my blacked out OEM 18s. I'll be picking up an JDM grille and doing the same thing to it. The JDM grilles don't have the gaps next to the Nissan badge like the USDM ones do when you add the Nissan badge (not sure if this also holds true for the 05/06 sedans). I also may opt to fill the gaps with bondo later on.

First, a quick DIY on how to remove the grille from the car.

Did you do any gloss to it? Either way it looks very nice. Great job.

            Thanks guys

No gloss. Thats the actual true finish of the paint, matte black which has a satin sheen to it.

I did a set of headlights using this finish and just fell in love with how dark the black is. I'm doing another set of headlights this weekend on a sedan and using this paint again.

Good job with the DIY black grille job Papa I did mine in flat black. It doesn't have the satin smooth finish to it like matte black but certainly looks better than the stock chrome. Still I like the way yours turned out, and don't drive too close behind dump trucks and big rigs!

I'm doing it for a buddy of mine (last time and this time). Not trying to do this on the side as a business or anything but...if you're interested, you can hit me up. 94561 zip

I've considered that as well and might still do it with this grille.

Great job! I too am interested in the exact paint you used - if you have the brand and product number it would be greatly appreciated. Also any farther away pics? I really like the OEM grille on your car.

I'm always down to hook you up Chris. It's just finding the time to do it If you can be patient, I could get it done for you over time. I've never done it before though..but I'm fairly **** at the work I do so I'm sure it would at least be a decent looking mod
