Quinton "Rampage" Jackson quits u.f.c

MMAScoops.com is reporting that former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has quit the promotion. He and UFC President Dana White had been going back and forth over the last couple of weeks due to Rampage taking the role of B.A. Baracus in the new A-Team movie, and apparently that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

"I'm done fighting," Jackson stated. "I've been getting negative reviews from the dumb *** fans that don't pay my bills or put my kids though college. So I'm hanging it up. I'm gonna miss all my loyal fans but hopefully they'll follow me to my new career & I will gain more loyal fans along the way."

Rampage noted his frustrations with how he's been dealt with by the UFC over the years and has apparently had enough.

most people dont know this but the UFC is a ****ty organization for the fighters themselves... ever wonder why fedor doesnt fight in the UFC? they dont pay **** and dana white is an epic douche bag. Both of my trainers have told me how the UFC pretty much own all of their fighters and if u dont bend over for dana he'll **** u over the badway.. i've even talked with Murillo Bustamante whose my trainers master about this and even he thinks is a shame that Pride and other large fighting organization are now gone. Perhapse with mma growing the way it is fighters will start getting the respect and pay they deserve. Its ridiculous boxers can make millions upon millions of dollars when mixed martial artists are making dirty in comparison for the same amount of work and training put in.

boxing has been around how long now? You cant expect MMA to be at that level yet.

And i agree with most people that MMA is more exciting but its not like these guys are making good money.

dont get me wrong these guys are making good money but certainly not millions... put it this way Fedor is the biggest name in MMA yet dana refuses to pay him what hes worth which is a couple million. Yes boxing has been around much longer but MMA is much more physically demanding and requires much more prep for each fight. Fighters have to worry about every aspect of stand up and ground game, its not as simple as just fighting with your hands

^must not be that long since half of them gas out after the first round. i used to be a big fan of mma but after watching it for years, boxers look like professionals in the ring while mma fighters look like skilled bar fighters. my only exception is gsp, that guy looks like a true professional.
