heading down to the track this friday evening if anyone else wants to come out. My buddy Nick is dying to run me in his Jeep SRT8 - wish me luck.

This will be my first time ever on the 1/4 so I hope that I dont suck that bad. Should have some video afterwards.

helmet rules: 13.99 or quicker require Snell 90, 95 K98, 2000, SFI 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A or 41.2A specs.

Since we're FI we're certainly under that limit...where to get these by friday?

you can also go to any motorcycle shop and get one the HJC's are priced pretty reasonable.

Just because you're FI doesnt mean you're going to run quicker than 13.99, you should but it's all in how you can put it to the ground. You can rent their nasty helmet for 10 bucks if you need it.

Can I get away with my HJC DOT spec Helmet?

^^ I'm hoping/guessing that any helmet should do, at least on the 1st run. I pulled those specs from the official NHRA rules, Capitol prolly isn't going to be harcore strict on the exact helmet type on a T&T day.

I'll be there. I took off friday so I can be prepared for the track. Im hoping to run 13.2 this time out. My previous best is 13.5.I'll look out for you guys. Also this season capitol has been more strict than usuall about helmets. I've been racing for years and this is the first year theyve actually checked my helmet on multiple occasions.
