Saturday, November 7, 2009: National G Club's Annual Skyline Drive Cruise

I've heard the same thing about needing a permit before when we went up there. But it was never enforced. I'm not sure if this is still a good idea with all the heat coming from yesterday's drive. However, if we do it any later it'll be too cold and the leaves will be gone.

We were certainly not very well received yesterday and there were some whose behavior made it worse.

That's the problem with bringing too many people you don't know. I think just NGC would be better because, for the most part, we aren't like those guys were.

no hatin.. but there was a black nismo 370z who were in front of us speeding like crazy and overtaking people off, i keep yellin mann u dont need to do that!! we just wanna enjoy cruisin

We could go down to the Blue Ridge Parkway... south of Skyline Drive and is actually the road skyline drive turns to. Would require all day driving though...

211 is free and all that we need to have fun. Going through the park is pretty much a hassil from this point forward.....so if we go, there is 100% no speeding....and even then we will be talked to serveral times during the drive, every time we stop.

I did talk to the female officer and tried to explain that there is a mixed blend of cars, and that one group comes all the time.

Yea it doesn't look good, they have an eye out for G's and Z's now. I was there when the officer told my group to exit at 211 or you will be arrested. I did see some stuff that would get us in trouble but it wasn't by any G35's. Also the loud exhausts didn't help either. This will be interesting....like Corey said 211 is the road that you want to drive on but the skyline drive had the nice overlook views.

There was an LR G35 that got us in trouble in an incredibly stupid way. I was mistaken earlier in thinking it was a G37. It was that guy and another black widebody Z (maybe the Nismo??) that the rangers were really upset about. I think these guys need to step up and pay for the fines that were issued to David.
