Hey everyone,

Finally decided to register an account onto this site even though I've had my 2006 G35 Coupe 5AT for about a year now, and I've been using this site for even longer. I absolutely love this car, cleaned out my bank account for this childhood favorite despite being in university and working 3 part-time jobs.

Already have a list of mods for this car such as Z-tube, K&N filter, Rev-up airbox, 5/16 isothermal plenum spacer with copper throttle body spacer, and many other exterior mods. These mods were the result of countless hours of research through these forums, so a huge thanks to everyone here who contribute to the forums and to those who post to help the newbies! This forum has a wealth of information and hopefully I can continue growing this mod list! Thank you!

I've got my eyes on a set of 20" Work Schwert SC1 wheels, but man...might have to save up a while longer for that. Also, recently started to take a liking in several Avant Garde rims, but I think my newbie status makes the forum retailers uninterested in responding to my PMs!

I also just joined. This site was so helpful when looking at G35s. You are all very helpful!

Is it lame that I plan on leaving mine stock mechanically? :P Going to do a few aesthetic mods but nothing too crazy planned.

I think I speak for everyone here that you're much more appreciated for Keepin it clean and stock instead of ricing it out for the sake of "modding"

So far all I want are:

LEDs all round
Double Din deck w/ reverse camera and Nav
Tailight Vinyl GTR cutouts (black like the car)
Clear corners

Crossmember brace is bent so might go aftermarket as the dealer is trying to hose me for $250 for the part.

Uh oh.... It's happening... :S lol

Sweet! Another vancouverite. There's so many of us on the street so I'd expect more members to be here.

And nah, nothing wrong with stock. We're faster than majority of the eco bs compact cars out on the roads and it's not like we use all that power all the time either.

Good luck with the double din, I'm stay waiting on the dam backorder for the JDM kit, unless if you go metra (Don't)

What's wrong with the metra?

The metra has ugly rubber buttons and the finishing isn't too great. Really gives the G a more basic look.
The JDM is pretty much identical to stock except it has the DDIN space available of course.

Welcome to the forums, from a fellow Vancouverite.

If you ever do plan on adding any mechanical mods, I highly highly recommend getting the plenum spacer. It's probably the best NA breather mod for our cars, and the gain is noticeable.

I was going to do that one! Everyone seems to Love it and it appears to be an idiot-proof install which helps me lol. Need to fix those damn rear axel tick first though. Lol
