New 03 CB 6-speed coupe owner checking in...

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mike and I just picked up a 03 6-speed G35 coupe in CB. Always wanted one in this color, but the timing was never right and when the timing was right, I couldn't find one (not the most common color I've been told). Anyways, timing really wasn't right, but I came across this one and the price was too good to pass up. Not much plans as far as mods go. It will serve as DD material, as I'm building a GC8 2.5rs impreza coupe and Evo 5 converted mirage right now. Plans include a drop, decent exhaust system, lip kit, swapping in black interior, swapping to 06 headlights and tails, and swapping over my gen2 advan sa3r's off my old S14. I hope they don't look too small as 18's were the largest size that advan offered. 18x9 up front +15 and 18x10 -8 in the rear.
My s14 needed a slight roll in the rear to sit flush. Nice to meet everyone! Anyways, on to the pics of the G as it currently sits.

CB is a rare color, congratulations!

Welcome to Driver! From what you've been driving and building now you won't be asking us many questions. Nice looking '03 coupe with the exception of those black wheels!
Our Marketplace is a great place to find any parts you're looking for, our vendors/prices are great!
Enjoy the ride...Gary

Thanks man! Yea, this isn't nearly my first rodeo. My S14 actually has a 600whp 2jz swap in it... well, use to have as the bottom end finally went on me. Lol. And yea, the black stockers definitely need to go.

So the black interior switch begins. ..
Really wasn't going to attempt the black interior swap til much later, but then came across some black front seats out of an 04 coupe in good shape for $50! Couldn't pass it up, so snagged them and threw them in storage. Now I need rear seats, dash, center console, arm rest, door panels, carpet, and the associated plastics... Something tells me this will be an ongoing process.
Lol

Installed my coils and slapped on my advan wheels off my old s14.
Wheel specs are 18x9 (+20) and 18x10 (-8). Will be getting a 10mm spacer for the fronts, also will be raising up the front as it sits too low for my DD liking. Rears should lower a bit more after springs settle.

So, while scavenging the local pick and pull for parts to my other car, I stumbled across a 03 black coupe that literally just
got there! So, spent the next 5 hours totally stripping the interior. I grabbed the rear seats, all associated black plastics, pulled the entire dash (what a PITA), and door panels. I ran out of sunlight, so I'm going back tomorrow to pull the carpet, seat belts, and also gonna grab the wingless trunk lid. I got extremely lucky grabbing all those parts. Only paid $200 for everything! Only thing I was not able to get was the steering wheel (was gone), the steering wheel trim, the gauge cluster housing and bezel (Those items were destroyed when someone pulled the steering wheel). Those can be had rather easily off ebay. I was more worried about the big stuff missing which is expensive and a PITA to ship if I had to piece it all off ebay. Parked right next to the G35 was a 6 speed 350z with complete drivetrain still in it. Anyone in the central texas area looking for a 6 speed tranny should come snag this one before it's gone.

The stance looks good but spacers would be killer. I just hope the roads you'll be traveling are extremely smooth with your coupe sitting so low.

Thanks man. And I raised the fronts up about half an inch. Also picked up some 10mm spacers and extended studs for the front. As much as I love my advan wheels, I just feel like 18's are just a tad too small for my liking. Fortunately I found a set of 19x10.5 and 19x11 VSXX work wheels in agressive offsets locally for such a good deal, that I can't pass up. So the advans will go back into storage for a future project car, or I may sell them if the price is right.

Picked up the VSXX wheels. Are in pretty good shape. Small rash on a few of the wheels, buy that's to be expected. One lip on one of the wheels will need to be replaced. It's bent a tad too much. Vr wheels sells the replacement lip I need for $200.
Anyways, on to the pics...

Lol, just put in the rear black bottom seat belt releases. By the end of the day I will hopefully have the rear black pieces in and the carpet installed....

So I will have a complete 6mt wheat interior for sale if anyone is looking. Don't have enough posts to make a FS thread. Items located in central Texas, and will not ship the large pieces unfortunately. Asking $750 obo for the complete wheat interior in good shape. Just the usual drivers seat wear.

Will be installing the black door panels next. Will attempt to tackle the dash probably this weekend, as I'm waiting on my black steering wheel to come in the mail.
