Valve Covers HELP
So i want to start working on my own car, I have no idea what i'm getting myself into well a little from the DIY's but i need some assistance. if anyone has done there valve covers and can meet up (San Jose, Campbell) to help let me know. unemployed at the moment and my mechanic wants $300 labor for the job i rather save a couple bills and do it with some help from Driver.
any tips for me

Red RTV is what I used, also I changed the gaskets from what I pulled top to bottom (plenum gaskets). I'm by no means a UTI grad mechanic but I can turn a wrench and if you can too, and you have plenty of patience it's worth it. I was quoted $450 PER SIDE to replace just a $15 gasket so I said no way, and went took the steps to DIY. While your down there it's a good opportunity to change the plugs too!
Edit: I'm in Phoenix so I can't meet up although I certainly would, I'm always looking to make friends with others who share the same love I do!
