Any G drivers also have a Nissan Murano OR Infiniti FX?

Any G drivers also have a Nissan Murano OR Infiniti FX?

Right now we have 2 coupes, not really working great/not too sensible.
Looking for a larger car for obvious needs and the wife.

How are the Muranos mainly? FX prob more $ then i wanna spend, but possible....

Gas mileage same, better, or worse then G?
Reliability?
Comfort?
Things to note?
Recommendations?
Tips?

Any info on these would be appreciated, thanks in advance....

I know they are the same platform, but the Infiniti FX45 looks 1000 times better than the Murano. The only bad thing about the FX 45 is that it costs 20,000 dollars more than the murano, but I think its well worth it.

$50,000 is alot though, but then again its an Infiniti; dont expect anything cheap from them in the present nor future.

The FX has the 5 speed auto, the Murano has the CVT, right?

This is the main reason I'd pick the FX. The bonus is the FX looks much nicer.

I thought they were the same platform, too, until I did some checking. They're actually not the same, the Murano is based on the Altima platform and is FWD when you don't get AWD. AWD is still based on a FWD layout with a longitudinally mounted (sideways) engine and power is fed to the rear as-needed, the FX is based on the G35 platform and is obviously RWD when you don't opt for AWD. If you pop the hood and also look at the suspension they are quite different.

I would definitely get the FX over the Murano, because of the looks and as one of the others said, the Murano has the CVT tranny.
Why not just get a G35 sedan to take the place of one of the coupes.

My wife has an 03' FX35 with over 50,000 miles on it now. We've been very happy with it. Some rattles here and there, but we bought it the first year out. Gas mileage is around 16-23. We recently obtained 22mpg on 8 hour trip running 75-80mph the whole way. The ride is a little stiff but that's been addressed with the newer models.
