Random Question. Just curious.

If you had 40k, and could choose any car in that budget would you still choose the G35? Or would you choose another car.

Personally, if I had the option again I would either shoot for a used m3, used m5, or a used c6. Now, if I wanted to buy a brand new car then I'd prob still go for the g35. I still think the g35 is the best car for its price.

Anyone agree? Disagree? Or maybe you would rather just buy 5 sports bikes. One for each weekday. That way when the cops are chasing you, you can just go home and switch to another bike. Lol.

Like others, the back seat was another selling point for me. If I didn't need it, I likely would have gone with an S2000 and really modified that. Love that screaming motor!

The 'Vette would have been my other option and would have made for a difficult choice between it and the S2000.

I still would have picked the G over the Z. It simply looks that much better, IMO.

If I had 40k to burn, I would wait for now and use it as downpayment for the new GTR and still be making payment on that.

If I could do it all over again, I will choose a used s2000 ($18k) then get a beater for every day use(7k), still leave me with 10k cash in the bank..

Or a used M3.

But I am just as happy with the G.

Well after my G35 was totalled, I had this decision to make. And I chose a used M3 over the G.

The M3 is doing just great! I took a 700 mile (round trip) road trip to Santa Barbara and got 23.5mpg on the way down doing 90-100 w/ the A/C on!

The interior is more ergonomic and comfy, the rear seats have more room and the trunk is bigger. The engine is more of a revver than a low-rpm torquer, so you have to build up the revs (redline=8200) but when you stomp on the gas you just keep getting pushed more and more into your seat!

I do miss the G35/350z exhaust sound, it is so sexy!
