2007 350z

So what's the deal with it?

The 07 G35 sedan is getting the "new" 3.5VQ motor which should be rated
about SAE 310+ hp.

Is Nissan putting this engine in the 2007 350Z too or waiting until
2008??
I think it would be a BIG mistake NOT to put it in the 2007 350Z
as the car is already 4 years old without changing.

Any insight?

Since the G and Z share the same chassis, I've been wondering if they're going to update the looks of the Z too, since they're updating the G for '07...

G coupe is going to get the redesign on 08 model, I believe it will be the same for the Z

cmon, if they were to do it on the 07 Z, they would have marketted alot earlier like the G sedan...

I think you are right.

But the G35 Coupe is going to be called a 2008, but it's going to
be released in early 2007 (a matter of months after the sedan).
They did this exact same thing with the original G35's.

So I wonder if the 2008 350Z will be released in early 2007 too or pushed until summer of 2007?
Probably the latter, they want to give the Infiniti's time to sell a bunch in the initial 6-9 months.

bummer, because that 2008 350Z should be pretty nice and run
(my guess) 13.6-13.7 @ 102-103 mph if it's rated in the 310-312 range
and all else including weight and gearing remaining the same.
It would be sweet if they could drop 50+ pounds in weight an make
2nd and 3rd gear just a touch more aggressive too.
