That's nothing. The new E63 will eat up a 55 like no other. As fast as I want to say a 55 is, the 63 is not only faster, but also more fuel efficient. AMG is absolutely amazing

I had to laugh at that "automotive purists dream" comment. Automotive purists dream of sports cars with manual transmissions, not manumatic slushboxes. You can call it 'speedshift" or "7G-Tronic" all you want, but it's still an automatic.

Sweet looking car, but until Mercedes offers a manual transmission with their performance cars, at least as an option like BMW M does, I'll still consider them overpowered and overweight slushboxes instead of purist sports cars.

If you can't drive a stick, it's a nice car though

Funny, this tranny has proven faster than the manual in every application where both are available. Say what you want, the auto driver in this ride will be crusing nicely with his right hand where it belongs - on his young ladies thigh.

the AMG trannies are autos but are MUCH improved from the regular 7matics found in non-amg models. that tranny is very capable of insane power and amazing shifts

AMG seriously needs to put a manual transmission in cars like the E55/E63. I prefer a stick because I like to downshift and hear an engine scream which is very stimulating in my mind, when you downshift on a young lady's thigh all you might get is a moan which is also very stimulating in my mind
