Yeah, you really have to think about resale on these Mazda's. The G continues to have one of the highest 5 year value retentions.

I would not compare it to the G but it is a sweet car. All these 2.0-2.5 turbo engines with huge potential.

Going by that the resale value on the speed6 is not much worse than the g35. I think these 2 are pertty comparable as far as upkeep and all. And even though mazda is a ford, I believe Mazda's themselves have a good reliablity run. Just saying that Mazda = Ford = Bad Reliability is like saying Ford = Aston Martin = Bad Reliabilty. How many of you would turn down as Aston Martin????

Looks like you are comparing depreciation in whole dollar terms, but keep in mind that the Mazdaspeed is sold for some $2-4K less when new. A car that costs less to begin with but depreciates more is a bad combination...that is why Intellichoice tags the Mazdaspeed with a "Poor" rating while giving the G an "Above Average" (sedan) to "Excellent" (coupe) rating on overall value.

I would never turn down an Aston Martin - even though they are notoriously unreliable cars.
