Our Car vs. Crossfire SRT 6

So i was at the lights when a crossfire srt 6 pulls up next to me, we go off the line and i thought it shouldn't be that hard, but this guy ends up taking me buy a car length atleast. Went home and realized that the guy was packing 330hp and 310 lb-ft. of torque. I dont look into american cars to often so it was unexpected. Also chrysler website says 60 comes in a just a tad over 5 seconds. So next time you guys pull up next to one of those, unless your modded, i wouldn't try, lol. Then i convinced my self that our car is better looking, more luxurious, and holds its value unlike any other.

Yeah, I'd be weary of running against anything that had the letters "SRT" on it. They're always packing a lot of power.

Those things are ugly.
+1 on avoiding the SRT badge. I believe the SRT 4 is dangerously fast also.

+2 on the ugly part. IMO, those cars are hideous looking. I have only seen 1 on the road since they have come out.....guess they don't sell too many of them....or at least not where I live.

At it's price (at least in Canada) it should be faster. 62K vs 40-50K. 62K CDN is way more than most people would want to pay for any american car. It should be fast.

Now I don't know anything about the engine or platform but is it like the Chrysler 300's - based on old Mercedes technology? Or is it sort of modern?

Also, I wonder if it will be able to keep up with the 2007 G35 in a straight line?

A colleague of mine has one - a silver crossfire SRT. We've never raced but I've been in his car plenty of times to know that it's quick. Since it's a two seater it's also much lighter than our G. I may get him on HP, but on torque, fugggetaboutit.

The one thing he always complains about though is that 1. There is no manual transmission with the SRT crossfire and 2. What we have available in terms of MP3 player, luxurious panel and little touches. For what he paid and what I paid . . . I win that round.
