Dang. Why did I go out and test drive the new 911

You know, i thought my car was great...... i have a Stillen Stage 3 with a stillen cat back, and 19' piaa super rozza. the power is great, and the acceleration is phenomenal....... taking out M3's for dinner was a pleasure..... but Today, my friend leased himself an 06 white C4S 911 and i was in awwwwwed! The torque was incredible and the pick-up on this car trumps the hell out of my G. It felt super light, extremely responsive and cornered like no other........ then i hit the sport button.........OMG!
anyways, just to make this short, cause i know the attention span for most is one line, I love this car...... and you just can't compare the two, or at least i can't compare my stillen G with the stock 911........ i need to go out and get one ASAP!!!!!!!!!

911s are awesome. Especially the new 911s.

The G is more practical. (if that helps any)

You've just experienced a purpose build sport car compared to a shared platform vehicle that was born with compromises. I WISH I could afford a 911.
I guess I am stuck with my G.

Take an '06 Z06 out for a spin next. It'll make that 911 C4S feel slow and heavy by comparison.

You cant compare a Chevy with a Porsche. Its the overall package that counts, a C4S is so beautiful inside....the quality is just not there with the Z06, although it is one crazily fast *** f*cking car.

I know how you feel Luong, I'm saving up for a house and it's so tempting to take a chunk of that to swing over to the Porsche dealer.

I've been in 911's and I fail to see the beauty of their interiors. Nicer leather, yes. But the interior styling and design I don't think looks that great, and some of it is just weird. The Carrera GT has a beautiful interior. The 911's is mediocre, IMO.

Have you ever been in a new Corvette?

They came out pretty even and the Z06 was MUCH CHEAPER...you can find the video on youtube.com

I think the Z06 (actually even the standard Corvette) looks better than the new 911. In fact IMO the new Cayman looks better than the 997.

Interior wise the Porsche has the Vette beat hands down. Then again, I doubt too many people who be feeling the dash when they are being thrown around senselessly inside either one of these beasts.

Personally I am a Ferrari whore, but I have mucho respect for both the Vette and 997.

It was the new Ferrari 430, and it is very close to the new Z06 in performance. Except price: $190k vs. $68k.
