fastest inifiniti g35coupe or 2006 m45 sport sedan

hey ppl,

i am a prowd owner of a 04 5at g35 coupe

my car is fairly stock, some body work, sport suspension and an injen cai.


my friend is getting a m45 sedan and claims he will beat me in a quarter mile race.



my car is stock 280 hp the m45 has like 330 hp but its much heavier.

i raced alot of cars and even came close to a few bmw 645s.


if a 04' 5at g35coupe went head to head with a 06' m45 sport. who would win?

M45....if you maybe would of gotten the 6MT instead (more hp than 5AT and also less parasitic drivetrain loss) , it could possibly be a different story

And a g35 isnt? Ive raced so many FX's...with 45's, I get the jump and stay with em, with the 35's, I get the jump and slowly walk em...

the 6mt is not that much quicker ive raced plent and was sidde by side maybe at the worst half a car behind.


i think ican take a m45 . has anyone tried it yet

You're gonna get walked pretty easily. It gets worse on the highway.

M45 should win. Magazines quote the m45 around 13.7, while the G35's get around 14.2. (Average times from what I have seen and read.)

So with the average driver in a quarter mile race the M should win but you always have a chance.

As far as racing FX35/45, you should beat them no problem. Best times I've read in magazines for FX45 is 15.0 (which is pretty good. Faster then an IS300 in the quarter) but definately shouldn't beat a g35.

As far as FX35, just press the gas. You don't have to worry about anything.

m45 is a v8 so on the highway im sure he would eat me but on a regulasr city street 0-60 who would win a slightly modded g (cai) or a stock m45 sport

The M45 will win flat out and simple. A CAI aint doing anything for ya...

I've had both, and I can tell you the M is a little quicker. Not a lot quicker tho. The M's grunt down low makes all the difference.

i think the 04 5AT is stock 260HP not 280 thats the M/T....if im not mistaken. CAI adds about 6-7WHP so your probably sitting at about 226WHP...you will take the m45 0-60 or 70 but over 70 the m45 will creep up and win.

The coupe always had 280 for the auto. The sedan had 260hp until 05+.
