Drove the evo IX , G35C6MT felt so slow in comparison

I went for a test drive in an evo IX and wow was it a quick SOB. My car feels so much slower. The transmission on the evo IX is butter smooth, rev matching is so much easier. Many People say that the G has a notchy transmission because of the torque it has to handle. The Evo is really torquey too but the transmission is butter smooth?

ahh just need to rant

other than the oh-so-popular second gear clunk we suffer, i felt the Evo's gearbox was more notchy.

The EVO is not torquey at all..... At least not low in the powerband which is where most people evaluate torque from a drivers(not dyno) standpoint.

The thing has no power at all until the turbo spools.

I just drove a scion TC and my Xb felt slow. Pretty dumb statement, huh? Get the point. It's over a full second quicker 0-60, what did you think? They are two different cars. If you want a faster car, go buy an EVO or STi. We own a luxury sport coupe, it balances luxury and sport. I just wonder what some people think.

You can get high school girls with the G too

It depends on what you're looking for in a car: the Evo is one of the most fun cars I've driven, but other than the engine, it's a glorified $15,000 Lancer with a $38,000 price tag.
