Drove the evo IX , G35C6MT felt so slow in comparison
I went for a test drive in an evo IX and wow was it a quick SOB. My car feels so much slower. The transmission on the evo IX is butter smooth, rev matching is so much easier. Many People say that the G has a notchy transmission because of the torque it has to handle. The Evo is really torquey too
but the transmission is butter smooth?ahh just need to rant

other than the oh-so-popular second gear clunk we suffer, i felt the Evo's gearbox was more notchy.

The EVO is not torquey at all..... At least not low in the powerband which is where most people evaluate torque from a drivers(not dyno) standpoint.
The thing has no power at all until the turbo spools. |

![]() It depends on what you're looking for in a car: the Evo is one of the most fun cars I've driven, but other than the engine, it's a glorified $15,000 Lancer with a $38,000 price tag. |
