I don't like the looks of it stock...but a nice set of wheels and lowered doesn't look so bad.

The stock power on it doesn't exactly rock my world, but a nice turbocharger ought to make that little car a fun roadster to drive around. Nice and light.

Check out one of the back issues of SportsCompactCar magazines. They had an article of their project MR-S back from TurboXS with a custom Turbo on it. Sweet as hell.

Car is booty in my opinion. There's much better options for a weekend toy.

MR2 spyder?

People usually do this the other way around but you might as well look into a ''99~'01 Porsche Boxster.

I have one for my daily driver. It has a fun factor the G doesn't. It is a go-kart, its tiny, you can throw it around any turn and it will bite and grab. They have been known to pull over 1G on the skid pad with just tires. I love the car to death and will hate to get rid of it when the time comes. My G is ProCharged making 420hp... the MR2 needs 250 to keep up... its a bad little car. Plus the fact that only 4000 per year are made and aren't being made any longer helps it out alittle! Test drive it and take some turns and youllbe inlove!

Get a 91-96 MR2, they look so much better, (masculine) have a trunk, and a frunk!(front trunk)
I have a N/A 93 and love driving it, it's crazy around turns and gets 30mpg if you don't floor it everywhere.

I had an 86 MR2 for 12 years and absolutely loved it. Twelve years of ownership and all I had to do is routine maintenance and a timing belt. Such a blast to drive and was reliable as hell.
