ewwww why would u want a boxster....that i s the sorriest car under porshe line up....even the new ones dont compete with the g, if your gonna get a porshe, jus save ur money and buy a 911, please dont waist ur money on a car that was put out just to compete with other companies and not put out to be the best car it could be

I assume you don't mean the Boxster S which will blow away the G in every performance category. Actually the S can out corner and out brake the 911s.

keep in mind that the boxster put porsche back on the map...the company it self 10+ years ago was not doing to well until the boxster was introduced....Great car +1..

if you like it buy it...but the 1999 is way too old and "slow"....recommend the newer model and the S!

"the new one doesn't compete with the G"??? okay..i forgot which forum this is......hehehehehe

i agree with fabulustt7, i think the boxter is one of the ugliest cars on the road, and only the new ones are faster than our G's

yes i kno the boxster put porshe back up on the boards that y i said the car was put out to compete with other companies in the 40k range.....the car is a sorry excuse for a porshe, personally, i would even consider it as a competitor for the g, only carreras do it for me, and the boxster s does not out handle a carera , i highly doubt the boxster s oout handles a carrera

i meant a boxster s cannot out handle a carrera s, a boxster s prolly cannot even out handle a carrera, the boxster and the cayman are 2 cars built to jus say i have a porsche, only real porsche fans would get a carrera or a carrera s or a gt3 or a turbo

i agree with you on most points. a 99 boxter does not outperform a 911 in any category. only the newer boxter s perform up to the g or 911. however, the cayman is a pure sports car built for speed and handling. it does outperform both the g and 911.

vert or no vert?
back seat or no back seat?

I think those are based on your preferences.

As far as sports car performance, I believe the boxster s can out handle a G on the circuit. And should be pretty close as far as 0-60.

But its not like that's what you're going to be doing everyday.

I would pick the G because its more practical. The 1999 boxster is too old. its 7 years old dood~!

I am a Porsche owner so take it from me, German engineering is excellent, but when it decides to break, everything in the car goes at the same time.

Expect to invest 50+% of the car back into it.
