mazdaspeed vs. g35 ?

yo guys what u think could win the new mazda 6 speed stick or g35 coupe automatic both stock???? if anyone could let me know id appreciate it

nah bro my g35 is not stock i was just wondering because he bought it brand new and i hear ppl talking **** about g's now saying that the mazda is faster i dont have my car with me cuz is in the dealership getting the suspension fixed so i havent been able to race him so I was just wondering

i was in one, it would be a close race, but on paper i think the mazda speed wins...im pretty sure they 1/4 time is like 14 flat in some mags ( which i know arent the most accurate either). At highway speeds though, g35 will eat its food bad.

Mazdaspeeds have a serious problem with heatsoak. Alot of people complain that after a certain amount of time the car runs like piss. I know my mazda 6 did. But that wasn't turbo. Make your bro drive for 30 mins or so and then race him from a 10mph roll. Later.

Unless you are boosted you will get smoked from a dig. From a roll you'll still lose but not as bad. Heatsoak w/ power cut was a problem, but if they had it for a while the TSB reflash from the dealer minimizes the power loss. Bone stock "real" people, not magazines, are getting 13.7's all day every day.

I test drove both my G and a Speed6 back to back for nearly 2 weeks before I decided on the G. For what I was looking for they both had their distinct advantages and shortcomings. The quality & warranty of the Speed6 was really impressive and its a good value. I chose the G due to refinement,brakes, ability to add performance due to aftermarket support & the wife liked it better .

My cousin actually has the speed6 as his daily driver. We did a few runs in the summer. We did two from a dead stop, and I took him both times by about a car up to 110 mph. We did 2 from a 30 mph roll, and I also had him by about 1/2 car up to 110mph. We did 2 from a 15 mph roll, and he had me by a car up to 110. The car is nice and all, but I think you should be able to take him, I take it (not sure about AT tho). The cousin drives a custon FI'ed audi rs4 for his weekend, and I can't touch that at all.. not even with a 5 car headstart and the launch :P

If you're in an automatic, once you hit 4th gear the mazda will fly by you.

how funny my co-worker just bought a MS6 last week and has been beggin me to race him. He just traded in his 04 mazda 6 for the mazdaspeed, and i just traded in my 04 coupe 6MT for a 2006 coupe 6MT. So both our cars have similar mileage and both at manuals, so i think it would be a drivers race. I keep telling him that I'll smoke him, but thats just to bust his ballz cuz he thinks he bought a 911 or something.

Well after saying all that I think I will accept his challenge soon and post the results. Wish me luck.
