They really couldn't have picked a worse car to do this with even if they intentially tried. They NEED a good V8 sedan and maybe wagon. They SHOULD have developed the Linclon LS platform to do this with.

well let's just hope that their sport wagon isn't based on the stang and based on something else, like the LS that was previously mentioned.

I was under the impression that the Lincoln LS, the Jaguar S-Type, and the new Mustang all share the same basic platform (shortened on the Mustang).

In any case, wagons are cool. Wagons with V8 engines and RWD are even cooler.

The Mustang uses the S197 architecture which is completely different from the basic arhitecture that the LS and S-Type uses as well as the now defunct Ford Thunderbird.
