Took the 335 up to the century mark

I had to work early on Sat., and the road was just beckoning. Light traffic, clear day, and even though I'm only at 550 mi, I figured what the heck, just for 2 min......took her up to 100 mph, and she was doing 3500 rpm in 6th (come to think it, is that correct??). The car was simply getting started, felt stable as all heck, and I had just adjusted the tire pressure yesterday. I think it was delivered at 30/28, on the low side.

It's gonna take me a long time to get used to it, I still drive like a granny. And it's getting very weird switching between the 335 and the Maxima, I'd say mainly the steering, shifting, and clutch, but also the seats. Today I felt very uncomfortable with the 335 sport seats at first--had a winter jacket and obviously the Maxima has little lateral support, which I'm used to. Taking off the jacket, things were fine again. I can't quite figure out the best adjustment for the lumbar and side bolsters, and they aren't kept in memory.

And like e90post guys said, I seem to be finding ever more excuses to drive the 335 and leave the Maxima at home. But I'm headed up to NYC for a XMAS party today, so I'm taking the Maxima! My g/f claims the Maxima has feelings too and I shouldn't just abandon her after 9 yrs. of flawless service!

Interesting story John, good to hear you like both cars but the new a little better. I'm sure it didn't take much to get the Bimmer up to that speed.
