Is the G25 6cyl,coming to America?

What do you guys think?In Japan they sell the G25 6cyl,with 225bhp.It can compete with its rivals,without some standard features like leather,for lets say $27000.

me neither...I don't want people confusing my G35 for a G25....altho if they did, I would consider buying my brother a G25x.

Yes I think Infiniti should bring it over, with a base price around $27,000. Base model shouldn't come with moonroof or leather seats, rather, should come with some sporty fabric on the seats.

I doubt it. The tendency on this side of the Pacific is bigger not smaller..and from the talk I've heard here over the years, there's more talk of a 'G45' than a 'G25'.....

If gas goes to $10 a gallon or more, then that might change things drasticly, but until then I doubt there's much demand for the smaller V6 (unless there's a new smaller body available similar to my small Acura (CSX here in Canada- like your RSX in the US)

No theres not going to be a "G25" here in america.

Type in VQ25HR in google and youll find lots of official information.

This engine will be mostly used in Europe (as some of you know Infiniti is going global within the next few years) and in Japan.

Ofcourse the 3.5 will still be an option for them

i think the G25 should come. the Lexus IS250 sold 66,000 units compared w/ G35's 44,000 last year. somep eople never use the 306hp in our G's so why not. if it makes a price standpoint then go ahead. it's not a 4-cylinder so it's a good thing

Let's be real now: how many people need to reach 60 in 5.2 sec?

I say Infiniti should give it a shot. It could be a worthy competitor to the BMW 330i. I'd be one of the first in line to get a G25....

well 70% of my clients really don't care about using all that power. the G35 is the entry level model for Infiniti just like the BMW has 2 engine choices along with Lexus and Audi-- some people just want a luxury car not a sports sedan.

If Infiniti could profit from bringing a G25 over here, than I would be all for it. I completely agree with Kenny that there are alot of people that don't need/want 306HP and that a 225HP engine would be more than enough.

And it wouldn't bother me one bit if someone confused my G35 with a G25..........I know what kind of car I have and much how fun it is to drive, that is all that matters. I never understood why people care so much for what other people thinks.

I dun mind if there is a G25; but they gotta market themselves like BMW... where there is 323 and 328, there gotta be 335!!!

and for us we should have G35TT or G45 =)
