The Ultimate answer to the 335 vs G35 debate?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And I quote (from BMW 3 brochure):
-Two all new inline six-cylinder engines
-Supple suspension that handles corners with vigor
-xDrive all-wheel drive
-outstanding passenger protection
-Large, fade-resistant brakes, near 50/50 weight balance, advanced double-pivot front, five-link rear suspension
-Performance is a passion of our engineers
-High precision fuel injection, aluminum engine block, extra-light camshafts

And I quote (from G35 brochure):
-the imprint of a life force
-the echo of a craftsman
-nuance, warmth, mystery
-beyond the cold and austere
-it’s organic, it’s alive
-design. Beyond machine
-dynamic expression of human skill, seductive, transcendent experience
-tactile response, nuanced control
-modern warmth. Human accuracy. Organic perfection
-katana sword
-soothing and energizing
-handmade Japanese paper

Photo from the BMW brochure/Photo from the G brochure:

So, if you wanna drive it, get the 3. If you need an (organic) origami making partner, get the G.

Way to throw respect and credibility out the window with your first post.

easy guys. he's simply pointing out different marketing techniques -- some guys like us respond to the technical stuff; other people don't. you want to know how my wife bought her car?

she and I went to test drive cars -- Passat, Toureg, A6, Maxima, G35 Coupe. She would drive each one around, making comments about details here and there -- the Toureg felt like it would tip over when taking a turn (compared to the others), the A6 Turbo accelerated nicely, etc.

Then she sat down in another car. She instantly glowed and said "I love how this car makes me feel!" No test drive, no turning on the engine, no nothing.
Ordered her car, paid for it and 3 months later did Euro delivery. After signing the papers, got into the car in Germany and for the FIRST time, adjusted the seats, got comfy, turned on the engine and drove off.

She has loved her car from day 1 and has never stopped. I am still amazed to this day that she could buy a car simply by how she "feels".
Her car: 2004 BMW 530i, premium, nav, comfort seats, etc.

I gotta say -- above 100 mph, her car is more fun to drive than mine!

Kash

Interesting...

So, here I am going through the first 7 pages of the BWM 3-Series Coupe brochure, and what do I see?

-a revolution in power
-BMW's take on freedom of expression
-it will thrill you even faster
-designed to take your breath away
-your power connection with the road
-adrenaline-charged performance

Yeah, interesting indeed...

Well... Colin gave one the boot just the other day. Maybe this one will get it too. I'm getting tired of these people coming on here wasting our time like this. BMW makes a great car... So does Infiniti. I choose Infiniti.
