This video is not good for Cadillac CTS-V.

I think they do handle and drive great... but once I start hearing about problems on the car electronics....+ fit and finish; no caddy for sure...

That's the reason they were crossed off my short list right along with the Saab.

"New Cadillac slogan...0-60? NEVER" haha

But ouch, i personally liked the car. Very fast, like the look, but i have heard NO good stories of it. Sucks to have such a powerful car with such bad feedback.

I'd actually like to see Cadillac make a legitimate run at the 3 series with the new CTS in '08. The fit and finish issues look like they will be addressed. Hopefully the new V will be more reliable. Isn't the next version getting something like 500hp (The Z06 motor)?

I have to be honest, I have always liked the CTS-V. Always thought of it as a sleeper car. Nothing really different than the regular CTS other than the front mesh grill, huge brakes, and rear exhaust.

Disappointing to see a car so many problems, but then again, there will always be a bad bad lemon in a large group of cars. But in particular, I've not heard anything good, long term wise, from owners of CTS-Vs.

The CTS-V is a badass car, my dad just got rid of his about a month ago he had to get a truck for the boats. It was a fun car to drive for sure!

+1.

That CTS-V had some issues for sure and would only limp home in safety mode.
If and when it met the lemon law criteria, I'd go that route myself.

C.

I only watched part of the video but from what I saw, it doesn't seem like a lemon - just a car with one problem. It sounds like not all the cylinders are firing or just a sensor is faulty. Since the engine threw a code, that should be one clue at what is wrong. This guy sounds like he doesn't know much about cars and expects his fancy caddy to be perfect.

i think when he listed at the end of the video all the problems it has had such as two separate faulty cats and they had to replace his rear diff. and pinion and like he listed 12 separate incidents with a fairly expensive car that has only 12k miles on it id consider that a ****ing lemon. Nobody should have to go through that with a car after only 12k miles and it has nothing to do with it being a fancy caddy. I have a feeling if that **** happened to your G after 12k youd be bitching as well.
