i was wondering if anyone in here has raced the 300 c and if so who won? or if u havent...who do u think would win?..considering the fact that the 300c is 340hp and 390ft/t while the g is 306hp and 268ft/t

I have not raced, but I know if the 300 is a C with a hemi, it would probably be faster than the G. I have been in the 300C when someone floored it. There is no mistaking that kind of power from a V8. Yes, the G is fast and has one of the best V6s on the market, but my money is on the 300C.

Torque makes a big difference.
Just my two cents.

The 07 G would win. The G's 0-60 is tested from 5.2 - 5.7 , the chrysler 300 is tested at 6.3. The srt8 however is 5.0 flat.(425hp) add a couple mods to ours and we'll eat those too.

My thoughs exactly, that car is a pig. (My Dad has one). Its quick, but its nothing mind blowing. I'd honestly put my money on the G.

YES!

Race him!

... and make sure you are the only two clowns around so no other innocent bystanders get killed because of your stupidity.

Non-srt8 vs new G, if both drivers have equal skill = G.

SRT8 vs new G = SRT8.

Save the racing for the track.

Or add a TON of mods already available for the SRT 8 V8 powering more than few models already.

2005 Chrysler 300C 5.6 14.1
2005 Chrysler 300C SRT8 4.7 13.2

(R&T June '05)

Looks like 1st gen would have its hands full (300C) or be eaten (SRT8).

Based on their numbers for the SRT8, a second gen would be sucking with anything less than FI. 1st gen should stay on the trailer. I'm referring to a paper race of course.

Comparing the two is kinda silly in my opinion. I don't consider the 300C a sports sedan. I see it as an entry level luxury car with a decent motor. I doubt the handling would be as rewarding as that of a G, but I've never driven one for any length of time so that's conjecture on my part.

Drivers and controlled conditions could take it either way.
