What Happened to the Q?

I just got back from a 3 week vacation in Brazil and to my surprise the "Q" is no longer on Infiniti's website. Hmmmm. Anyone know what happened? Is the flagship dead ?

BTW: a quick search turned up nothing.

Funny, I noticed that too. Thought maybe they dropped it for a year or something. But, have'nt heard anything yet.

I read someplace that they were skipping this year. Whether it is because of a future refresh planned (more like the G and M?), or they pulled a Detroit car ploy and pushed too many cars out to the dealers, I don't know. I don't think it sells in all that many a year (and is competing in the same market as the LS).

So whats gonna replace the Infiniti Q45?

2006 was its last year.

I checked wikipedia and their article on the Q said it was going to be making its debut again in 2008. Hmmm. Wonder what is to come.

Infiniti has been on BMW's *** since the debut of the G35.

So far, Infiniti has only gotten much better since.

The G, M, and FX have all been big hits for Infiniti.

I have high expectations for Infiniti in the next couple of years

the last discussion I had with my dealership about the Q was that it will be redesigned to "stunt the market" (they also said it would have some sort of F/I set up, but I personally think they were making that part up)

Our 04' Q45 sucks big ***!! My dad had a really good experience with his 1998 Q45 and decided to try it out again in 2004. I have to say for a $55k car we were both very disappointed. The style of Q45 was by far more appealing than the M45 especially for my dad who was 56 yrs old at the time. The more disappointing feature was it's CVTCS performance engine. You got a 2 sec lag when you attempted to floor it. Try getting onto the fwy like a 2 sec lag.

Just last week the battery completely drained to a point where you couldn't recharge and had to replace it. For a 340 hp V8 engine, they had a battery that was more suited for a Civic. Our personal mechanic asked "Why is there such a small battery for a huge engine?"

My dad just dropped the car off at the dealer for a 30k service and got a G35 sedan as a loaner. He said the G was more impressive than his Q and thought it had more horsepower. I'm glad they took the Q out of their lineup and hope they'll redesign it inside and out.

I can't seem to find the pictures that people are talking about? Can anyone point me in the right direction for the new Q?

there are no pictures yet but someone from infiniti did mention a new Q is coming for '08

They thought they were stunting the market with the last Q. But no one bought it.
