From G to MR

I loved my G coupe to death, but since I had this oil consumption problem it gave me a negative thoughts about keeping the car. I was thinking of trading it in for a 06 or 07 Evo 9 MR. Would this be a downgrade, upgrade, or it don't matter? I need some advice. Thanks!

Trade for a new G. Im not big on the evo's, just not my thing. I like the G's smooth lines and sleek style.

i think downgrade, might be a little quicker but not worth the loss of sex and style.

look at a picture of an evo in a crash, the thing is a flying tin-can. I really like evos, drove a brand new evo nine but went with te g instead. i think they are really agressitive looking, but won't hold up in a crash, and lets face it, u will puch that thing a hell of alot harder than you would the G.
Besides, the inside= gay, its still a Lancer, and will always be a lancer, you just paide $25,000 more for an engine
Charger SVT is a mean machine if u want something different, or a srt 300C

I wouldn’t think of it being a downgrade. They are two completely different cars.

Interior goodies and comfort = Massive downgrade
Speed = Upgrade
Braking = Upgrade
Handling = Upgrade
Sound = Other than the BOV, that 4 banger sounds so p*ssy, Downgrade...
Looks = To each their own, but in my eyes, downgrade...

Its all your choice...

I don't think it would be a downgrade or an upgrade I think you'd fit right in. Besides it's your choice who cares what everyone thinks.

An Evo was next to me at a stop light. He stomped on the gas as i coasted away. The thing looked like it jumped into action rather quickly. I am glad i don't look as my car as a 'fast' sports car, but i kept thinking how mature and grown my car seemed to ME. I will say it made me think about a TT upgrade, but that's just b/c it can be done not b/c its needed.

Anyhow upgrade. if it is what you have your eyes set on do it. I mean the idea has come up for a reason

agreed. + if you think infiniti is sticky with their warranties... just wait till you run into problems with that evo... mitsubishi has been known for not backing their warranties

more of a horizontal move rather than lateral move. Plently of people go from G to Evo and plenty of people go from EVO to G. They are on the same plain, it just matters what you value more, luxury or speed? GL either whcih way you go
