Brand Prestige

So out of the Japanese big 3 luxury automakers, which one do you folks think is more prestigous just by the name. In order for me is:
1. Lexus
2. Infiniti
3. Acura

I concur. Lexus is also coming out with a couple high caliber sportscars, so Infiniti and Acura better hurry up if they want to compete in that segment.

I think the problem with Acura is the FWD and the design. The whole line of car looks great, but not expensive looking.

I agree.

People always associate Lexus (among other non-Japanese brands) with money/luxury. I don't hear Infiniti or Acura as much.

No question Lexus is on top, they are #2 only to Cadillac in customer satisfaction. I would switch Infiniti with Acura, because Infiniti is associated with Nissan, and Acura with Honda. Again, the OP mentioned prestige.

As far as preference to owning the vehicles, I would rank them in the OP's order.
