Help Jetta tranny repair
My gf has a automatic 2001 Jetta and the tranny feels like its starting to slip. It will jerk while going up hills, plus it will jerk sometimes when accelerating. Anyone have a clue what the problem might be amd how much it might cost to fix?
Also, im in So Cal... Anyone have a place i could take the car to and have it checked out? I dont know any places for VWs so i was just gonna go to AAMCO.

Start with checking the fluid for level & colour. Should be pink and not brown. If it is brown it will also smell burnt. Looks for leaks under the car too.
How's the mileage on the car? Is it due for tranny service? There's a myriad of possibilities, but do the basics first and then check into the nearest VW shop for a check and a chat.... G/L C.
