HELP, I'm torn between two cars.

Here's my story.
I've just purchased a '07 FJ Cruiser and regretting it BIGTIME!!
So now that I've saved up for a decent downpayment, I want to ditch the FJ and stick back to my import modding roots. he he he.
I visited the BMW dealership and they're offering me a '07 328i for 42G's.
(335i is listed at 52G's.... RIDICULOUS!!!)
My friend just visited the Infiniti dealership and the '07 coupes are about 38-39G's.
Should I ....
A) Get the less powered 328i?
B) Get the '07 coupe?
C) Wait and get the 08 G37?
D) Take a gamble and wait to get a '07 G35 for probably less than 35G's (considering it'll be an outgoing model but taking a risk because the dealer might not have the 6 speed M/T then)

Thanks for reading,
Inputs will be appreciated.

I think the decision is easy.

You need to decide the following:

4 Or 2 doors.

Years intended to keep the car.

Net cost = (FJ loss) + (down payment) + (new car cost)

I'm going for coupes only.

And I already know that I'll be loosing money getting rid of the FJ. The way I see it, the faster I sell the FJ, the less money I'll lose.

^This is probably true.

I thought the 328i as a 4 door.

I see the cheapest bet as getting an 07 coupe while playing the G37 to your advantage.

However, I would wait to see what the G37’s pricing is. If it is going to be under 5k difference get the G37, the interior is much better and it is a new model.

328i does not have enough power, but is a nice overall package... get the 07 coupe, and trade it in for a GTR within 2/3 years like me

328i comes in two doors also. BMW's are great cars. I went through this myself two months ago before I chose the G35. Those 328i's are very common and they don't have the styling that the G35 has. I think you know which is a better choice.

ps 08 G37's r ugly.

Wait for the 08. it will be as fast as a 335i and will pretty much spank the 07 g35 and 328 by bus lengths.

You should be getting at least $4k off sticker for the '07 G, so it shouldn't be $38-39K

the 335's with ecu mods will kill the g37.. no doubts on that... but i wouldnt get a 328 unless i was a girl... i would end up getting a G over the 328 over and over... heres why: looks better, handles better, faster, more reliable and depending what area of the country you are in, you can get the 07 coupe for around 35k since the new one is coming out.

edit: if you wait til the g37 comes out, you should get a great deal on the 07 g35 just because the dealer doesnt want it on the lot, unless its the used lot

I love the current G. So my advice will be leaning toward it.

I would suggest you to get rid of FJ (I was gonna get it too. Thnx to my wife I did not.....one more reason to love my woman)
and get yo self 07 G when new G comes out
You will be able to negotiate a better price (this is old model move)
and you going to end up with a very nice car.

I don't think that you will have a problem finding a car you want. They are not that rare after all.
Come over here to WA, INFINITI of Tacoma has a sh!t load of coups on their lot.

wow, they are inflating the price of the 335. I priced one online and it came to 48k with a lot of options!

The g35 or g37 are both great cars, but to be honest they just dont compete with bmw's. See what you can do as far as the 335 pricing. That car will make you very happy, I've heard nothing but good things from owners of them. They are superb cars!

if u are going keep ur car for over 3 or 4 years, i say go with 07G
but if u are going sell it in the next 3 or 4 years... then go with 328i coupe.
