2008 M3 price.

According to Autoblog, OUCH!

They must be

"Today we've learned that if you live in Her Majesty's kingdom, a new 2008 BMW M3 coupe will cost you £50,625. If you're curious, that equates to $101,300.63 USD"

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/24/2...-50-625-in-uk/

I know this is an Infiniti forum, but if this gets priced up here over 6 figures, is this car really worth this much???

Honestly, I don't think it's worth that much. They should have kept it at the older M3's pricing, maybe a bit more. The current M5 already goes for about $83,000. It's a really nice car, don't get me wrong but $100,000 is pushing it.

Looking at some of the comments under the Autoblog post, it appears those readers think they have to be off on their mark, but usually AB.com is not that bad a site for info. So I wonder if they will post a correction, their math is right on for the currency - 50,625.00 GBP = 101,391.29 USD , i dont think i ever saw this figure in any specualtion anywhere.

That is totally incorrect. If you were to follow the exchange rate on the E46 then it would cost approximately $90,000 as well. Expect it to base at $55k and loaded to $68k.

True, cannot convert it like that. 350Z is 26K pounds, and it is definitely not $52K USD in USA dealerships.

some of u guys fail to see that everything is inflated in the uk. the current m5 starts at around 65,000 pounds. or have a look at the ps3 price -> 399.99 pounds... that's around 800$us

I really don't think the new M3 gonna be 100k. I am guessing it will be somewhat around 65-70K. And maybe add another 5k for the drop top.

I don't think they would be stupid enough to out price their lower line M3 above their M5 and M6's.
