Good luck finding one that is a real hemi. These are selling for 750K in the auctions for numbers matching units. You will have to do a clone.

Big job. Frame off restorations by do-it-yourselfers take several years if you are focused. A friend of my wifes husband did a 71 Challenger ragtop and it took almost 1200 hours. This is not for the faint of heart. Good luck to you.

+1^^^ on finding one.
There are a few Mopar freaks that live around me. Between them, they have a Hemi Cuda and Charger, 440-6 Pack Cudas, 340-6 Pack AAR Cuda, Plymouth Superbird and one guy I know even has a 64 Plymouth with the 426 Wedge and twin four barrels with the log-ram manifolds (my favourite, cause I had one similar for a while)
When the weather improves and they bring them out of storage I will take a bunch of pics.
Here is a couple pics when I had my 1970 440 Cuda, excuse the pic quality, I scanned them from old pics I had.

You are right on it was called Plum Crazy.
I remember taking a 68 black Barracuda Formula S with the 383 out for a run, I was seriously considering one of those cars back then.
If only I had that purple Cuda now, all I have left from it are my trophies and plaques from when I used to run it at the strip.

I'd love to see pics of your 68, my neighbor has a nice red 68 and his dad has the Superbird..

haha cool. I'll try to get pics up in the summer, when it's warm enough and have enough time to go out to our farm where it's currently sitting. I don't think it's picture worthy, it doesn't look great right now. Wait until it's finished lol. Her engine needs a rebuilding, a new paint job, and a few other things.

Any pics of the neighbors red 68 or the Superbird?
