A car is FAR more than a spec sheet.

The 6 is a high-end, high-image luxury cruiser that is in no way competition with the G37.

If you want to play the spec game, The G looses out to several less-priced vehicles as much as it keeps pace with other higher priced models.

+1 to the above.

When you do not have the means to make a high end purchase, they always seem over valued and ridiculous..

When you do have the means..

An officemate just got a 650, it was almost 82k list. Well, at least I can ride in it to lunch, and I'm supposed to drive one today at the Ultimate Drive. No way can I ever fathom that much money on a car, probably not in my lifetime...

Never say never but that's definitely a lot of money. I suspect many people that can afford it wouldn't buy it. Many wealthy people that earned their money like to hang on to it and be thrifty, particularly the older generation. I would have to be able to afford a car twice that price in order to pony up the funds for something like a 650.

I think 650 coupe looks better then G37 coupe
the BMW 650 makes big statement

I did get the 650Ci on Sunday. It was a drop-top, Sirius, sport, silver of course with the pink ribbon, and the controls were easier to figure out than the 750. The computer was saying 14 mpg which is ok I guess for 360HP and that much weight. Didn't have the massaging seat like the 750. What were my g/f's words when we drove it 14 miles? "This is living." I can't see spending that much money on a car, but it's nice to drive it for Susan G Komen!

The 650 will beat us in a straight line. My friend has a 645 and we are always screwing off and we are neck and neck. So im thinking the 650 will be quite a bit faster...
