Stock for Stock you will take him in a straight line. The R32 should own you in the twisties though...

240HP, Heavy as a pig, but has AWD, and is very tossable in the corners. I almost bought one, but picked up the G. The exhaust note on that car is top 5 for stock exhaust for non exotic.

I love these "you should take him" responses; they usually come from people that have no clue.

I'm pretty maxed out for NA bolt-ons. I've got a local friend that has an R32. He's stock, except for a piggyback. When we're at the track, and he's on his 100 octane map, he traps the same as myself. On his stack map, I out trap him by about 1.5mph.

That means that on his stock map, he would absolutely smoke a 5AT g from a dig, and walk him from a roll.

^^I had an encounter once with a R32 on a open stretch road. He punched it and i was right behind him from 40-90mph i was 1.5 cl ahead. about 3cl overall. I know he did not miss shift because i could hear his exhaust and fast shifts. It would be a close race between stock auto and stock R32.

To the original poster: How about u race and find out. If we say yes or no what is that going to change?

Trey,

Im sure you know piggybacks/tunes can do ALOT to a turbo'd car.

I've seen an R32 hit 14.2 @ 97 stock at best. So it should be good competition for a stock G35 automatic.

Don't take my word for it though; I really don't know much about those VW R32's.

I had an encounter with someone claiming to be an accounter. Then I woke up and got myself a real accountant.

Trey, not trying to say you're wrong, but my good friend Joe is in the Audi club around town and i always go to meetings on fridays with him and i can tell you that a R32 is not as fast as the G, they are indeed fast, but the G will take it.

Every car responds different to piggy back systems, tunes, fuel, and what not. So by saying that you have a G about maxed out in mods without FI and then compare it to a r32 with 100 octane and a piggy back says nothing really. The R32 might respond to the piggy back 400% more than your G with all its mods for instance, hypothetically speaking of course. It's like adding a tune and boost controler to a supra, then comparing it to a RX-7 with an intake....the two are equally as fast stock, but both are going to respond differently to mods.

Stock for stock the G is faster, from experience, and magazine articles.

EDIT: Im trying to find the stats online, but every site i go to says something different. One says 5.6 0-60, which i know isnt true, the other says 6.6, which sounds right...so IDK

Go back and re-read my post. I said on his stock map, which basically means running untuned, he was within 1.5mph of my car. He has no other mods. I trap at least 5mph faster than a bone stock automatic coupe.

If I had raced him when we were stock, he would have outtrapped me by at least 2.5, maybe 3.5mph, stock to stock.

It sounds very similar to our exhaust note. They have a 3.2 compared to our 3.5 but I think their cylinder firing order is the same, causing the similarity in our exhaust sounds. Im not too sure on that tho
