Prelude VS G35

This guy claims hes pushing 260hp on his prelude and he thinks he can take on a stock g35c. who would win?

how much should i launch at?

Not to condone street racing but to be honest with you that Prelude may give you a run for your money. It's a Honda it probally what you are thinking but there's a few things you should keep in mind....1.It's much lighter than the G, 2. Is he modded? If so then forget about it. These little 4 cylinders with a couple of bolt ons and some tuning can easily eat a G.

its not street racing, i wanna do it on the 1/4 mile track. ya he has some mods.

if its 260whp... you will have some problems...

but there are so many variables:
-how did he arrive at 260hp?
-what does 260hp mean? dyno tested whp? crank estimate? adding mfr claimed gains?
-how good of a driver is he/are you?
-what engine'd G do you have? revup? nonrevup?
-what tranny does your G have?
-and more...

i had a prelude pushing 230whp with a supercharger and that thing did 14.0 at the track, i've seen others push it at 13.8, so at 260whp, i don't think you have a chance.

Prelude is a lot lighter...You will lose...But you will beat him on TOP speed...

Sorry for the misconception (glad you are on the track). If he is modded like they said you don't stand a chance (please tell me you didn't race for pinks ).
A lot of people may look at Hondas as ricers but there are some of them out there that will run circles around the G (I have a 99 JRS LS/Vtec running close to 300hp)

Preludes are no joke from personal experience, especially modded. Even on the track they are quite decent, there is a reason is was nammed the best handling car under $25k when it came out

and as far as the top end... while it is a 4 cyl it still has the vtech config. it'll keep pulling.

The only way he has 260whp is being FI'd ex.(full race turbo kit, tuned, exhaust). If he has bolt-ons (I/H/E/Hondata/Clutch/Flywheel) he will only put down at the most (220whp) and I think you will have him from the start (due to torque), but he will close the gap up due to power to weight, but I don't think he will pull on you if your 6MT, Auto, ehh...maybe. Sidenote: The Prelude SH was named best handling car when it came out, but only the ATTS equiped models, and no one would dare try to push a good amount of power to the wheels with the ATTS unit.

If he is boosted w/ a LSD, you can go ahead and get ready to right down his license plate number cuz thats all you will be see'n. I had a turbo integra...and spanked many a fast car.

dont even bother racing, he should take you... way lighter, and if he is truly running 260whp then stay away, unless your modded then smoke em' lol

My friend had a SC integra with a built motor when I had my heavy 20's and Stillen Stage 4. We were side by side up to 110 many times. Those little guys are quick.
