What about a Z4 3.0si as a lease?

I was checking out BMW's lease rates for July and was amazed to see the 24 month lease terms on the Z4 3.0si was 73% for 24 months and a 0.00100 money factor. For a nicely loaded model with Nav, premium, and sport (about $48k sticker) and assuming a $46k selling price, the lease works out to $530/month with tax, title, etc due up front. The 36 month lease works out to $510. If you don't need 15k per year, you can be under $500 (a 10k/year works out to $470)

That sounds pretty good for a almost $50k car, especially for a 24 month lease, where you can get into your next car in 2 years.

Anyone have any experience with the Z4 with the 255 hp engine?

Tarry, who posts the G35 rates here, posts on bimmerest. Here are the rates for the whole lineup. Note that the good rates are only for the convertible, not coupe. Scroll down to the bottom.

For lease programs shown in BOLD, a bank lease program may have lower payments. Click on a vehicle name to compare current bank lease programs through LeaseCompare.com.

I had a 2003 Z4 2.5 with sport package. 2003 was z4 first production and was a rough ride. I didn't mind it. The car handles great, get lots of thumbs up, good mpg on 2.5 engine. Traded in for 2006 G35X.
The 255hp should be great for the little car. Watch the oil consumption in the beginning. The BMW I owned I had to put oil into until after 5k.
Lease looks good.

I really like the Z4, I am actually in the market for a second hand one ever since I saw the G37 in person. Sweet car and the handling is great, too. Infiniti/Nissan needs to step up and come up with a smaller and lighter platform for new compact FR vehicles.

It's only 255 horsepower, but the car only weighs 3,100 lbs or something. Not too bad.

24 months is what makes this even more attractive. In 2 years, the car market will be flooded with a whole bunch of new and exciting cars. Hand in the keys and on to th enext thing.
