350Z blows engine (video)

Not sure if you all have seen this before, but its a video of an over-juiced 350Z blowing its engine on the drag strip. Its the first video I've seen of a VQ35 self destructing...

not at all... that i believe is the smithtown nissan project car, they wanted to see the limits of the engine and were planing a rebuild anyway... thus the reason why they aren't mad. They i believe ran a 300+ direct port shot on stock internals.... big difference between us going with 75-150 single stage fogger shots....

Yep, that's the car. Smithtown makes sense, because I could hear the NY accents in the video (I'm from NY originally, not far from Smithtown). Also makes sense that they were testing to see how much the motor could take and didn't care if it blew because they were laughing about it afterwards. Guess they had plans for a built engine afterwards.

So the question is, how long did it last with that 300+ direct port shot? That's pretty crazy on any engine, much less a stocker.

in the video, look at the car, and read the banner on the front window... smithtown... and look at their website i linke to above... it has the car and pictures all over, with smithtown nissan as the sponsor...

I love the "oh well" in the video. I would have been pissed even if I had planned to replace the internals because of the two holes in the block. It would be great have enough cash to be able to let that one roll off the other sholder like that....
