so i have a cousin whose a big bmw enthusiast... and his gf just got an 07 350z.... before he use to make fun of my car because it wasnt german and then all of a sudden he talks about how great the 350 is and how he will smoke my 04 coupe 6mt ... so the questions is i got a full fuji exhaust setup with the 5/16 pleneum spacer... its basically a drivers race right????? correct me if im wrong i know about the rev up engine and everything but does it make that big of a difference between rev up and no rev up... if someone who has driven both engines could chime in THANKS!!!!!

He's gonna kill you...pretty easily if he doesn't screw it up. The new 07 350z has the new VQ35HR engine and makes 306hp with a FAT torque curve. The fastest stock 350Z has done 13.3 at 105mph so good luck!

You would need more than a spacer & exhaust to match the power & efficiency of the VQ35HR...

But in reality, you shouldn't care. He's just doing that to get you upset. Tell him to grow up, stop talking sh!t, and that speed isn't everything about a car.

If I were in your case, I would just laugh and ignore him... that always seems to work great.

IF you were doing this at your local track, expect him to have atleast a half a second (0.5) lead on you by the end of the track with your lightly modded G.

Is it a convertable or hardtop and is it a manual or auto? I know the new Z has the HR motor in it, which is a lot more powerful than the DE, but my friend just baught a brand new 07 350z convertable 5AT and him and i run head and head all day long. If it just happens to be a convertable and just happens to be a auto then you might be able to hang with him.

You need to THINK. Take the Spock challenge. Ask him:

1) If non-german cars are so "bad" how come he couldn't manage to talk his GF out of a Japanese car? Then
2) In all likelyhood, if his car isn't M powered or not a 540/7/8 series, his GF's car probably spanks his "german mobile". So logic dictates you make fun of that. Then
3) Then to rub it in, mention her engine has much more related to yours vs his. Clearly she has better taste than him. Again
