The Interior does look pretty nice, exterior is sexy, but I don't like Audi's in general. I would have expected a price of $50k not $62k.

yeah if that's the final price then the M3 or the GTR would be the better deal. It's similar to a AM type car I suppose, great design but lacks the power and carries a hefty price tag.

Yeah, I agree. Although I'm looking for an AWD, preferably a coupe, for my next vehicle, I can't justify paying 62K when there are so many great alternatives for way less. I'd rather have an G35x sedan, hit 0-60 in 5.4 and still have 30k or more in the bank. Or...if the GTR's base model comes in at 60K, why even choose the S5 when you can have a superior vehicle in just about every aspect (save for the interior)?

Don't know about the 0-60 but so far the fastest a stock 07Z has ran is 13.3 on the 1/4

Edmunds has the Nismo Z at 5.1 0-60 and 13.6 1/4 mile. However, I don't think it will be as comfortable as the S5 for a daily driver. The S5 also has four seats and AWD.

I think the S5 will be a great deal if it was priced around $55,000 for a well-equipped version.

they had the optional 6300$ stereo in their msrp price. also.. if your nickel and dime'ing at cars in this price point.. then your really looking at the wrong cars imho.

I doubt people are going to buy this car only for its performance.

Just look at the Cayman & Boxster; they're so damn expensive for what they offer in performance, yet are selling great for Porsche. Why? Because performance isn't everything, especially in an upscaled luxury car.

You can't compare magazine times to real world times such as VeeTec did. By doing this, you are assuming the S5 ran in the same conditions as the 350Z.

Not that I care much about mag times, but the best a magazine has gotten off a 07 350Z is 13.7.

i agree with your thinking. The G35X leaves a lot of cash left over compared to the S5. And the GTR would be something else altogether although I think it will be even more on the difference.
