So my friend recently got a BMW 335 coupe..few wweks later i got a G35S.... now all our friends are wondering who will beat who in the canyon....a lot of people dont believe that 335 coupe is as fast as every1 sais it is. The 335 should be a faster track car, but unless you guys get reckless and push the envelope, I think you'll be right behind him or he behind you,

Be careful man, if he starts pullin away dont overdue it and wreck that beautiful car. Same goes for him. . .

I hope you drive better than you spell. But really, don't you think THE DRIVER has much more to do with who will win vs these two relatively even matched cars?

I do think the driver in this case would have more to do with it, in a canyon,(twisties) I dont think anyone in their right mind would take their car to the limit and risk spinning out and or wrecking, but two evenly matched drivers on a course where the cars can be pushed and spinning out is not quite as big a deal the 335 wins, that thing does 0-60 in under 5(g35 0-60 of 5.3-5.5 Ive heard as low as 5.2 in a manual). . .its a coupe. . better handling

now g37 vs 335 on a course that would be interesting. . .

Well then the question is quite moot correct? Each driver will be well within the car/driver's limits. So they should be basicly 1,2 all the way.

But what does "coupe" have to make it "better handling"?

They're generally lower, shorter in height. . .basically lower center of gravity, shorter wheel base. . .and I want to say lighter. . .but ala G37 I can't assume that part. .

I don't know for a fact. . .but based on the above I'd hope they handled better

You are better with you bank account with extra 15K more then him, assuming you both had the same $ before buying the cars.
